Harriet Clarke
- Person-Centred counsellor/therapist
Hi - I’m Harriet.
I know some people arrive in Therapy with a clear sense of what they want to focus on. For others, it can feel much more uncertain — involving a process of exploring different aspects of life, whether to clarify what feels most important to focus on or to make sense of how different experiences, feelings and needs connect and influence one another. As a Person-Centred practitioner my aim is to make space for what each individual client requires to explore to determine their own path.
I provide weekly psychotherapy (via Zoom or telephone). I can also provide walk and talk sessions in Leicestershire (I am based in Aylestone in Leicester and will travel for up to c. 20 minutes to meet for this). I am registered with UKCP (the UK Council for Psychotherapy) having trained with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (2019-2023).
I do offer concessions for those with low incomes (including students/trainees). Please do contact me for more information: please note that I sometimes have a waiting list.

Areas of practice
Clients bring so much in their lives that listing areas of special interest and experience is not to suggest that clients have to prioritise a specific area of need. Often it is how different parts of life and challenges faced come together that can be the area for exploration. The following then is indicative.
Chronic health conditions
Disability
Mental distress
Family life
Work related stress and professional uncertainty
Supporting workers and students from adult education settings (Further and Higher Education)
Supporting researchers managing personal issues in the process of their work (e.g. around identity, discrimination, lived experience).
