Hi, I'm Fiona, a person-centred counsellor with a warm, relaxed and holistic approach. I believe everyone deserves to be truly heard, and my work is about meeting you as a whole person, with all your individuality, values and worth, rather than a problem to be solved. I can support you to draw on your own strengths and find your own way towards a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons, and no issue is too big or too small to bring. I offer a non-judgemental and confidential space where you are free to explore whatever you choose, at your own pace.

I have worked with several organisations specialising in bereavement and loss, supporting people to process and navigate grief and find their own meaning afterwards. Alongside this, I bring insight into end-of-life care and the many emotions that come with it, having spent over a decade working in the community, caring for and supporting individuals and their families through difficult times. I have particular experience in dementia support, and understand the helplessness, confusion and ongoing sorrow that can come with that kind of uncertain, continuing loss.

I also have specialised training in working with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, of any gender, offering a space where you can share as much or as little as you wish. All emotions are welcome, and there is no right or wrong way to process these experiences.

My interest in all areas of trauma is something I continue to develop. Childhood trauma can follow us into adulthood and touch every part of life, and family and relationship difficulties can affect our mental health, bringing anxiety, stress and an altered sense of who we are.

Whatever brings you to therapy, from real distress to simply wanting to look after your wellbeing, you are welcome here.
