I am a Medical Doctor now practicing in full-time private-practice as a counsellor and therapist. My Medical training left me yearning for a deeper way to help, outside of the traditional medical model. Following my Medical Degree I trained in basic counselling and opened up my own practice. A large part of why I do this work, is the deep and lasting helpfulness I have experienced in my own personal psychotherapy. I have seen consistent and meaningful benefit to the clients I have seen thus far. I maintain weekly supervision with a senior therapist, and I carry a modest client-load. I am open to brief 20-minute sessions if you would like to meet me and feel it out before committing to full sessions- how you feel in the room, as it were, is perhaps the best yardstick by which to decide whether to pursue an ongoing therapy relationship.

What to expect / how I work:

My work is person-centred, that is, I am most interested in your particular experience, as a person of irreducible dignity, worth, and vitality. Our relationship is one between two persons, but one in which I, as the therapist, am consistent in my care and commitment. Some clients speak for the full hour, barely catching a breath, while others struggle to speak at all. All is welcome, and this is in fact a core principle of my work- that you are unconditionally accepted.

  • Professional accreditation

I am registered with the ASCHP, and I therefore work with an enforceable code of ethics and with CPD (Continuous Professional Development) requirements.
