Working through your stuff can be difficult. Working through your stuff with a professional could be easier and even enjoyable.
When you work with me you decide what stuff you want to bring, you are in control of the session content.
I know working through old events and traumas, the places where current difficulties and behaviours began, can be the very best way to lay those things to rest. I also know that doing that can be difficult and that it is not entirely necessary. A lot can be achieved by working with the here and now, with whatever you choose to bring.
I am committed to working professionally at all time. I provide you with a written copy of our counselling agreement so you begin the work with a clear understanding of what we are committing to. You can find a copy of my counselling agreement on my website.
I encourage you to define your goals, if at all possible, so we both know what we are working towards. Then I am guided by you, I will never push you, I will never seek to make you uncomfortable. I am a solid, stable and reliable presence, keeping you company in your sessions.
I use my training, my knowledge and my insight to support you in your sessions, in whatever way I can.
I have worked successfully with a broad range of people with a huge range of experiences. The relationship that I offer is healing to all wounds. If your pain is present as anxiety or depression, as confusion or sadness or any other thing that you might bring.
If you are uncomfortable and would like to stop feeling that way I may be able to help.

I work from my home office. I have a small front step then we move along the hallway and there is a small step up into my office.
The doorways are all at least 72cm wide and the hallway is 80cm wide. There is one turn from the hallway to the office door.
If you have mobility issues or other reasons that make it difficult for you to attend in person, such as caring responsibilities, you may like to consider online counselling.
