I understand that it can be difficult to cope when life events stop us from living life as we want to and how difficult it can be sometimes to reach out for help. You don't have to go it alone; I am here to help.
As your therapist I can offer you a warm, confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where you will be heard and understood. I work from home but can also provide online counselling.
Facing difficult issues or even thinking about how to make changes can feel scary and daunting. In your first session we can discuss what has brought you to therapy and focus on the changes you may want to make. We can explore your thoughts and feelings and set some goals for change when you feel committed and ready for this.
I have 20 years experience as a therapist working with issues such as anxiety/stress, low self esteem/self worth, bereavement, depression, attachment issues, separation anxiety, health anxiety, OCD etc. I specialise in working with clients presenting with current and childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence.
I qualified as a Person-Centred Existential Therapist in 2006 after 5 years of training. I have worked as a therapist in the private and third sector and from 2009 to 2020 I worked as a therapist in an Employee Wellbeing Service within the NHS. In 2012 I trained as a Trauma Therapist for 2 years and then I worked as a Senior Trauma Therapist in a Sexual Assault Referral Centre where I worked with children and adults until 2020. I qualified as a Clinical Supervisor in 2015 and I currently work in private practice as a therapist and as a clinical supervisor.
I work as a clinical supervisor in private practice supervising counsellors in training in domestic abuse charities, mental health charities and at a university. I also supervise qualified counsellors in private practice.

Accessibility Comments
I have a therapy dog at my home. He is a 4 year old Labradoodle called Yogi and he offers a very warm welcome to everyone who comes to my home. He is a gentle sole and will not disturb the therapy process.
