I understand that it can be difficult to cope when life events stop us from living life as we want to and how difficult it can be sometimes to reach out for help.  You don't have to go it alone; I am here to help.

As your therapist I can offer you a warm, confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where you will be heard and understood.  I offer face to face and online therapy.

Facing difficult issues or even thinking about how to make changes can often feel scary and daunting.  In your first session we will discuss what has brought you to therapy and what changes you may want to make.  We can explore your thoughts and feelings and set some goals for change when you feel committed and ready for this.

I have 21 years experience as a therapist working with issues such as anxiety/stress, low self esteem/self worth, bereavement, depression, attachment issues, separation anxiety, health anxiety, OCD and complex PTSD.   However, I specialise in working with clients presenting with current and childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence.

I qualified as a Person-Centred Existential Therapist in 2006.  I have worked as a therapist in the private and third sector and the NHS.  In 2012, I trained as a Trauma Therapist and then worked in a Sexual Assault Referral Centre in South Wales where I worked with children and adult suvivors of sexual violence.  I qualified as a Consultative Supervisor in 2015 and I currently supervise counsellors in training and qualified counsellors in private practice.

  • Areas of practice

Currently I work as a self-employed Therapist and Consultative Supervisor.  I supervise counsellors in training in domestic abuse charities, mental health charities and at a University in Cardiff.  I also supervise qualified counsellors in their private practice.

  • Special areas

I qualified as a Trauma Therapist and worked for 8 years as a Trauma Therapist in a SARC so I now specialise in offering trauma related therapy to clients experiencing recent or who have experienced historic sexual violence.  I also offer therapy to clients who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence.

  • Accessibility Comments

I have a therapy dog at my home.  His name is Yogi and he is a gentle loving 5 year old Labradoodle.  He offers a very warm welcome to everyone who comes for therapy and does not disturb the therapy process.  Yogi is happy to sit in another room if you have any fears around dogs.
