I understand that it can be difficult to cope when life events stop us from living life as we want to and how difficult it can be sometimes to reach out for help. You don't have to go it alone; I am here to help.
As your therapist I can offer you a warm, confidential, safe and non-judgemental space where you will be heard and understood. I offer face to face and online therapy.
Facing difficult issues or even thinking about how to make changes can often feel scary and daunting. In your first session we will discuss what has brought you to therapy and what changes you may want to make. We can explore your thoughts and feelings and set some goals for change when you feel committed and ready for this.
I have 26 years experience as a therapist working with issues such as anxiety/stress, low self esteem/self worth, bereavement, depression, attachment issues, separation anxiety, health anxiety, OCD and complex PTSD. However, I specialise in working with clients presenting with adult and childhood sexual violence
and domestic violence.
I qualified as a Person-Centred Existential Therapist in 2006. From 2006 to 2020 I worked as a therapist in the NHS in an employee wellfare service and also in a sexual assualt referral centre, working with adults and children and also in an NHS trauma centre where I di 2 years training as a CBT trauma therapist. In 2015, I started in private practice and in 2020 I retired from the NHS. I qualified as a Consultative Supervisor from the Univsity of South Wales in 2015 and I currently supervise counsellors in training and qualified counsellors in private practice.

I qualified as a Trauma Therapist and worked for 10 years as a Trauma Therapist in a Sexual Assault Referral Centre so I now specialise in offering trauma related therapy to clients experiencing recent or historic sexual violence. I also offer therapy to clients who have experience of current or historic domestic violence.

Accessibility Comments
I have a therapy dog at my home. His name is Yogi and he is a gentle loving 6 year old Labradoodle. He offers a very warm welcome to everyone who comes for therapy and does not disturb the therapy process. Yogi is happy to sit in another room if you have any fears around dogs.
