London - The Advocacy Academy

7 Vining St· London· London· SW9 8QA· London
The Advocacy Academy is the UK’s first campus for young activists in the heart of Brixton. We provide a fellowship for young people to become leaders in social change.

As part of our programme we have been developing an individual counselling and psychotherapy service. We are looking for honorary counsellors and psychotherapists to help us expand the service. This would be ideal for those looking to complete a placement as part of their training.

What we offer:
We will provide two hours of group supervision every fortnight (on Mondays) with an experienced supervisor. There will be 2-3 therapists in each supervision group.
You will get the opportunity to gain client hours with some of the most inspirational young people in London and be part of the UK’s only campus for young activists.

Location:
The Advocacy Academy Campus for Young Activists, 7 Vining Street, Brixton, SW9 8QA.
Requirements
Honorary counsellors/psychotherapists to provide weekly sessions for 2-3 clients aged 18-25 for about 16 weeks (option to take on more clients for more 16 week courses). This will be from our purpose designed base in Brixton. You will need to have a minimum of 50 hours supervised practice. We are interested in people from a wide range of theoretical approaches. When: We are currently recruiting for therapists to start in early November 2019 (but we can be flexible).
