The Child and Adolescent Bereavement Service at Northampton General Hospital, offers individual and group bereavement counselling to children and adolescents in the Northamptonshire area. this can take place in a school setting or at the Northampton General Hospital, children's out-patients department.

We also offer support to parents, carers, school staff or any agency which are caring or working with a bereaved child or adolescent.  We also offer support to families where a member has a terminal illness.
 
The child & adolescent bereavement service is run by a full time qualified bereavement coordinator, Beatrice Standen , and administration support.

We are also assisted by volunteer bereavement counsellors, who are trained in counselling, covering areas such as person centred counselling, psychodynamics and cognitive behaviours.
