tPCA Annual General Meeting 2024
The AGM of the Person Centred Association is on Sunday 1st September 2024, 10.00am-12.00pm and is open to all members of tPCA. The event is free and you can register your attendance and receive the zoom link to access the meeting here.
Guest speakers. We are delighted to have two guest speakers this year: Jan Hawkins and Brian Thorne.
Jan will deliver our keynote address and Brian will share his reflections on the person-centred approach via a pre-recorded aural presentation.
Trustees. Any member, who wishes to stand as a Trustee (new Trustees are encouraged and welcome) - should submit the names of a proposer and a seconder (who must be members of the Association) along with a paragraph or two about yourself and what you bring to the role of Trustee to admin@the-pca.org.uk by August 12th 2024. These will be sent to members prior to the AGM to allow for proxy votes if members are unable to attend. All members, new and old, are welcome to stand. If you have any questions about what the Trustee role might involve, please email Kathy.
Specific roles will be agreed by negotiation within the new Trustee Group after election and Trustees must be willing to engage in tPCA initiatives - this includes
- take part in the running of tPCA;
- take part in helping to organise tPCA events;
- attending monthly Zoom meetings with other Trustees;
- attending face to face meetings twice a year (out of pocket expenses are met by tPCA);
As a Trustee you will be entitled to claim 10 hours of CPD per quarter and will almost certainly experience personal growth and learning.
Resolutions If you wish to put any resolutions to the meeting, these must be proposed and seconded (by members of the Association) and sent to Kathy by August 12th 2024. They will be circulated to members for consideration. If a proposal to alter the constitution of the tPCA is to be considered please include the text of the proposed alteration, together with the text to be changed. Last minute resolutions will not usually be put to the meeting unless the matter could not reasonably have been foreseen.
If you are unable to attend and would like a member or Trustee to vote on your behalf at the AGM, please contact Kathy at admin@the-pca.org.uk, by Sunday 25th August, so we can arrange a proxy vote.
We hope to see you at the AGM.
