NEWSLETTER PCE EUROPE - JULY 2024
by Kathy Engler
Dear Members,
Time is flying and summer is fast approaching. The board of PCE Europe has been busy with several projects in the last six months and we are pleased to announce the following news:
EVENTS
Symposium 2025
A few months back, we announced that the next Symposium would take place in Spain. Unfortunately, for various reasons, this will no longer be possible.
However, we are currently in communication with another organisational member for hosting next year’s Symposium. More details to be communicated soon!
Ethics Workshops
We are very pleased to announce the first of our virtual workshops based on the ethical challenges in our profession.
The first workshop will take place in September, more news to follow soon. The event is open to all our members. For further information please contact Paul on members@pce-europe.org . Further such workshops will be held in 2025.
Encounter Groups
Our virtual Encounter Groups have experienced a wide success and we continue to hold them on a regular basis monthly. Participation is free for members. For further information see https://www.pce-europe.org/encounter or please contact Leonore on chair@pce-europe.org .
FURTHER INFORMATION
Leszno Declaration
The declaration was created in support of individuals affected by war and military conflicts, and their mental health professionals, psychiatrists, psychotherapists and allied personnel.
It recognizes the undeniable urgency of the needs of the people affected – children, adolescents, and adults. It is supported by many national and international associations, including PCE Europe.
Please find more information on their website: The Declaration - leszno declaration and also via our PCE Europe website: https://www.pce-europe.org/statements

We are extremely pleased to announce that all individual members from PCE Europe now also have free access to the PCEP Journal: https://www.pce-europe.org/ind-members-only

New Events Committee
We are excited to announce that Paula Williams, a member of our organisational member PCT Scotland, has agreed to take over the responsibility for our newly created Events Committee. In this capacity, she will be the important link between the board and the organising committee supporting PCE Europe events, such as European symposiums.
3 New Members
We are very happy to welcome 3 new organisational members to PCE Europe:
APCCA: Association for Person Centred Creative Arts https://www.apcca.org.uk/, based in the United Kingdom.
UUAP: https://usp.community/, based in Ukraine. For further information, please also see statement in English from the Ukrainian Psychotherapy University: UPU - Ukrainian Psychotherapy University — УПУ - Український Психотерапевтичний Університет
UICCEP: https://www.pca.kh.ua/uk , based in Ukraine. Ukrainian Institute of Client-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy
And last, but not least, the board is working on several projects to further the person-centred and experiential approach. We are therefore looking for member support, big and small to support us.
