Introduction to Focusing

Stanmore, North West London
£150 or £140 if paid by 12th Oct 2018
Focusing is a practice which restores our innate and natural ability to draw on our body's wisdom in living our life. As well as self-development Focusing can enhance therapeutic work with clients.

Focusing is a gentle way of paying ourselves attention. We listen to our inner self with attitudes of acceptance and empathy. This makes it safe for more of our exprriencing to emerge, increasing self-awareness and congruence.

The introduction is the first of five two day workshops which form the British Focusing Association Certificate in Focusing Skills. Throughout the training there will be opportunities to share in the group, and to work with your own process. There is a mixture of Focusing theory, group discussion and practicing Focusing and Companioning in pairs.

The workshops are taught by Paula Newman and Elizabeth Smith. We are both members of BAPCA and registered teachers with the British Focusing Association (BFA). We are experienced counsellors and supervisors accredited by the BACP.
