It is estimated that more than 1 in 100 people have some form of Autism. They are likely to present for counselling because of their difficulty in social communication. Maybe as many as 4 in 10 who present for couples counselling have this condition. It is very rare for information about this syndrome to be included in counsellor training, therefore it is missed and we consequently fail to adequately help our clients. Kate Stubbings and Allan Turner have extensive experience of both working with Autistic clients and training counsellors in this field. The one day workshop will include innovative teaching techniques which will bring this to life.
