We welcome all those involved in promoting and developing the person centred approach through counselling, supervising, teaching, studying, writing and research.

Friday 17 July to Sunday 19 July

Eastwood Hall, Mansfield Rd, Eastwood, Nottingham, NG16 3SS

For 2026, we have a brand new venue! The Hayes are prioritisng christian groups in accordance with its charitable objectives.

A comprehensive search has been undertaken - thanks to Debbie, Moira and Danny, and the outcome, which we are pleased to say involves only a small price rise, which we know Hayes would have asked for too.

Take a look at our venue for 2026 here - Virtual Tour of Eastwood Hall

There are accessible rooms available although these are limited, please add in the 'Accessibility Needs' section on booking if you need an accessible room. You can also see the entire layout of the venue via the virtual tour above.

Theme for the 2026 conference

The Right to Be: Power and The Person-Centred Approach will explore how power operates within therapeutic relationships, within our communities, and within ourselves. As person-centred practitioners, we are continuously invited to reflect on what it means to offer a relationship in which each person’s right to be is honoured.

This conference will examine the subtle and explicit ways power shapes experience, and how person-centred theory and practice can respond with authenticity, empathy and respect.

Across the event, there will be workshops, presentations and community-led activities offering space for reflection, dialogue and shared learning. More details will be announced soon.

Meet the Conference Team

Following many years of organising interesting and enjoyable conferences Eva,  Janet and Pauline have decided to step back and support the development of a new conference team.

We are:

Debbie Bentley: I work in private practice offering person centred counselling, clinical supervision
(individual and group) and CPD workshops. I also facilitate the PCA's monthly Education and
Research SIGs, and am currently completing a Doctorate.

Moira Bishop: I have been passionate about the Person-Centred approach since I first read Person-Centred Counselling in Action, it was like coming home. I ran an agency offering Person-Centred Counselling to anyone regardless of how much they could pay. I was then asked to teach Person-Centred Counselling at the local college and I spent 27 years there.
