As an experienced person-centred counsellor and supervisor working in Manchester city centre and Online, my work is deeply rooted in the belief that every individual possesses an innate capacity for personal growth and change. Based in the vibrant heart of Manchester, I extend my services across the UK via online methods, guiding clients through their unique journeys of self-discovery and healing.
In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel valued and understood. This core aspect of my approach is derived from the person-centred counselling principles developed by Carl Rogers. I believe that for therapy to be effective, it must be empathetic, congruent, and unconditional in its positive regard.
Each day, I witness the transformative power of genuine, empathetic engagement in my sessions. My role as a therapist is not to direct or advise, but rather to facilitate an exploration of the self that allows clients to uncover their own meanings and solutions. I consider this process a privilege to witness and support.
Supervision is another critical component of my work, where I extend support and guidance to other counselling professionals. This aspect of my role is vital, ensuring that practitioners maintain effective, ethical practices while also promoting their own professional growth and self-care.
In Manchester and online, my commitment remains the same: to support individuals in navigating their challenges and to foster environments where therapists can thrive in their practice. Through my work, I hope to contribute to a healthier, more self-aware society.
My fees range from £50-£80 for 1 hour of counselling (£50 is concessionary rate for students etc) and from £50 per hour for supervision. I am only currently taking trainee supervisees on a limited basis but if you are struggling to find a person centred supervisor get in touch and I can check my capacity.
