- Specialist in: Abuse, Anxiety, Depression, Family, Sexual abuse, Stress, Trauma
- Person-Centred counsellor/therapist
It takes great courage to consider looking for some professional help. I have a background in trauma, abuse, PTSD, bereavement, and ADHD. I’m here to help with whatever is causing you concern in a warm, safe, non-judgmental supportive place.
Firstly, from one human being to another, I would like to say how proud I am of you for looking for some support. It's not easy to admit when we might need some help, or to actively seek it out. It's a really big step. Take your time, you're in control of what happens next, so do things at your own pace. Trauma can have such an impact on every part of our lives. It's never easy, but taking the control back is a great step forward.

Areas of practice
Thank you for taking the time to find out a little bit more about me and what I have to offer. My aim in therapy is to offer you a safe space where you can look at what’s going on for you, explore what you want and find ways to manage this and move on.
I believe the transformations that can happen within counselling can be life changing. When you open up, share, and reflect on the inner workings of your world with someone, amazing things can happen. With the support of the right person, you can understand, process, and overcome the things that have seemed insurmountable for so long.
I work with adults over 18 face to face as well as online and over the telephone. I’m a fully qualified Counsellor and a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and I am also an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
I am a qualified ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider. This means I am qualified in helping clients with ADHD overcome their emotional, behavioural, relationship and achievement challenges so they can thrive in life.
Before dedicating myself to counselling I worked in the NHS for over 20 years. In my NHS job, I specialised in supporting people who had long-term physical health problems such as chronic pain and fatigue, cancer, strokes, and heart issues amongst other problems.
In addition to my private practice, I am a volunteer with Macmillan and offer counselling to people with life limiting illness, cancer and those that have been bereaved. I also volunteer with Cruse Bereavement Services. Both of these roles have enabled me to gain experience working with people with diverse backgrounds and a wide range of presenting issues.
