We are looking for a volunteer Student Counsellor. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your input and skills are valued, with an age group that are at different times, inspiring, challenging and rewarding. Our client base at Woking college are 16-19 year olds.
We have a dedicated Counselling room offering our clients a calm, quiet space in which to be heard.
Whilst there are other volunteer counsellors at Woking College, each works separately on an allotted day, half days may be available.
You would need to be available to meet with the Lead Counsellor at regular intervals to help support you with your work and progress. The placement is during term times only, Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.
This position is open to anyone training at Diploma level 4 or higher and also for qualified Counsellors looking to gain further experience and client hours.
In addition to your training and qualifications, you will need to be organised, a confident communicator with the ability to work on your own. Use of, but not limited to, an Integrative approach.
Expenses can be reclaimed via college. If the free Supervision available doesn’t meet your training requirements, this may also be claimed, in part or full, through college.
This is an ongoing placement opportunity with no closing date. Email CV to TSC@Woking.ac.uk
