Disability: new special interest group

Published on 21 April 2022

The PCA and PCT Scotland are pleased to say that we are starting a new joint special interest group around disability.

Aimed primarily at therapists with a disability, or long-term chronic condition (whether physical, emotional and/or a neurodivergence), this group is open to anyone who is a member of the PCA or PCT Scotland. We'll be meeting on the 5th May from 7-8 on Zoom to work out our aims and what we'd like the group to look like, with initial thoughts that we'll meet every six weeks in an evening. The group is for us to work out a direction. Perhaps we want to look at the experiences of training whilst disabled, or holding public evenings where we can meet with other therapists, or write academic research. The world is our oyster!

The group is being run by LJ, and Paula J Williams, and you can contact us either by PM on our social media channels (facebook and twitter) or by emailing disabilities.group@the-pca.org.uk and we'll be happy to help.

Who's joining us on 5th May?
