33rd Annual Conference for the Development of the Person Centered Approach ATLANTA - July 25-29, 2018 

The Atlanta conference committee (Dr. Rob Richardson, his partner Ken Barthels, and friend Jana Chambers-Sepich) are pleased to announce that this year’s conference will be held at Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta.  The meetings and presentations will be held in a multi-classroom facility and we have arranged for the availability of a limited number of close-by dormitory rooms for those people who desire such lodging.

The conference will be held downtown at a GSU (Georgia State University) facility. For those interested in housing, GSU will house us in the University Commons resident hall featuring a private room in two or four bedroom apartment style units.  All units come with fully equipped kitchens, furnished bedrooms, and living spaces.  ADA accessible apartments are also available.  The resident hall is located at 141 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. Nightly rates are $40.52, with an optional meal plan that includes breakfast and lunch for an additional 1 time fee of $69.68, additionally optional parking is offered at $5 per day.  Besides GSU housing, downtown Atlanta offers a plethora of nearby hotels.

The Atlanta conference location features many nearby food establishments, in addition to a GSU cafeteria that is open throughout the day and early evening.  Also, Atlanta’s rapid transit ( MARTA) has a station nearby that offers transportation to the airport.  

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:

 Rob is working with the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, Inc.  The conference will offer around 24 CEU hours.   

CONFERENCE FEATURES: 

As per usual, we will have planned community and small group meetings along with scheduled presentations of research and ideas.  We will have a casual activity Saturday night that involves a hospitality hour followed by a walking tour of nearby downtown attractions.
